FAQ
How do I use GoLog?
Open GoLog and tap “Start” to begin recording your trip. Tap “Stop” to end.
While recording, don’t swipe GoLog away in the app switcher — it may stop recording.
Which platforms are supported?
GoLog currently supports iOS only.
Does GoLog have servers?
No. GoLog does not run any backend servers.
Will my location data be uploaded?
No. Your travel data stays on your device and is not uploaded, analyzed, or shared with third parties.
Does GoLog show ads?
No ads — no banners, interstitials, or tracking-based recommendations.
Does it drain battery?
GoLog tries to be power-efficient, but continuous location tracking still uses battery. Use it based on your needs.
Why is my track sometimes inaccurate?
Accuracy can be affected by:
- System location accuracy settings
- GPS conditions (indoors, subway, dense high-rise areas)
- Device model and OS limitations
GoLog records as accurately as possible, but final accuracy depends on the environment.
Can I edit or delete footprints?
Yes. You can edit footprint points or delete records you don’t need.
Can I import data from other apps?
GoLog supports importing data from “一生足迹” and “灵敢足迹”, then managing and analyzing it.
What is a “trip day”?
If your movement distance in a day exceeds a threshold (e.g., 500 meters), that day is counted as a trip day.
Can I back up or sync my data?
Yes. If iCloud is enabled, data syncs via Apple iCloud and stays in the app-specific folder.
Can I restore data after switching phones?
Yes. With iCloud enabled, sign in with the same Apple ID to restore. Without iCloud, you can export then import on the new device.
